Payment Methods - Important Update
If you know us, you know we're a small business. Just the two of us, actually. So when we get hit with credit card fraud it really hurts us financially. When fraud occurs the banks protect themselves and the card owner - NEVER the merchant. We always take the loss - both for the merchandise and our trust in how the system should work if it was truly a fair process.
So effective 5/18/20 for online purchases we will only accept PayPal for payment. PayPal has a provision to help protect us against fraudulent transactions. You can still use your credit card to pay but you will need to use the PayPal payment gateway to complete your online transaction.
If you wish to pay via credit card but don't want to go through the PayPal gateway you must call your order in to us at 845-647-7407.
Here at PTS we strive to have competitive shipping rates. We ship via FedEx, UPS, USPS, and LTL depending on the number of items being shipped and the method that works best for each order. We ship to both residential and commercial addresses. We do not ship outside the United States. For some of our product lines we are able to offer Free Shipping if you are able to provide us with a verified commercial address.
Customers placing orders for shipping to a residential address are advised to make sure someone is home to receive the packages. PTS cannot be held liable in the event of packages going missing after they have been delivered by the carrier. Best option if no one is home during normal delivery times is to provide some sort of business or commercial address.
Free Shipping Disclaimer: Free Shipping offers are contingent on availability of the product. We stock as much inventory as we possibly can and we also have distributors who can generally get us wheels or tires in just a couple of business days. Items not in stock may be subject to shipping charges if you cannot wait for the product to come to us to ship your way.
We actively work to make sure our prices are both current and competitive. When a manufacturer has a MAP (minimum advertised price) policy we follow those rules to honor our agreements with those companies. For all other product lines we do our very best to provide the best value possible.
Placing an Order
Ordering is easy! At least it is supposed to be... If you place an order online you can pay securely with your credit card (MC/Visa/Discover/Amex) or PayPal account. If for some reason an annoying tech issue arises please contact us. Our email is email@example.com. You can also give us a call at 845-647-7407 during regular business hours (leave a message at other times). If you have Toyo bucks to redeem you need to email or call your order in as we don't have a practical way to process those certificates through the website.
Need a Quote?
Sometimes you just need a bit more info before you make that wheel and/or tire purchase. Send us an email from our contact form (firstname.lastname@example.org) or call in 845-647-7407. Tire inquiries should include brand, model, size, and quantity. (ie Toyo RR 205/50ZR15 total of 4 tires) Do you need them heat cycled or shaved? Wheel inquiries should include brand, model, size, color, hub bore, offset, bolt pattern, and quantity (ie JRW Series 500 15x10 in Satin Bronze 57.1 ET10 4x100 total of 8 wheels) Do you need valves, lugs, spacers, centering rings? Destination zip code is required for shipping quotes as well as indicating whether the address is residential or commercial.
PTS stocks a good amount of wheels and tires, so generally we can ship same or next day. We cannot have everything in stock at all times, but we sure try! Toyo, Hoosier, BFG, and Michelin if not in stock are generally only 2-3 days away - unless a product is on national backorder (which happens on occasion). We work very hard to help every customer every time we can if at all possible. We offer our popular "no obligation wait list" for items that are incoming or on national backorder.
As a general rule, all sales are final. Anything that is a special order item is not returnable. If for some reason you feel you need to return an item you must contact us first to receive authorization.
- Returns (if approved) are subject to a minimum of 15% restocking fee (some items will incur a higher restocking fee) and must be returned in the condition they were received in.
- Tires must not be driven on and wheels must be mint condition and unmounted. Items must be repacked as carefully as they were sent out to you. Wheels need to have all protective cardboard and styrofoam sheets etc. to protect the item from damage in transit. UPS and FedEx stop here daily so either choice is fine. Please label box clearly with both your address and our address. You should get the box insured for the return shipment. If any hardware is also being returned it must be packed carefully in a padded pouch so as to not damage the wheel.
Each item that is authorized for return is subject to a restocking charge as stated above. Any shipping costs to you as well as shipping costs back to us are not refundable and will be deducted from the amount of the refund. The only exception is if an incorrect item was shipped (hey, we are human - most of the time anyway - so there are rare occasions where we get it wrong). All refunds are processed as a credit to your account towards a future purchase unless otherwise discussed/approved.
