Hoosier SM7.5 DOT Competition Tire - Spec Miata
Hoosier Tire is proud to release a new P205/50ZR15 SM7.5 designed specifically to meet the needs of the SCCA Spec Miata category. The new tire features the “Intermittent Slotted” tread pattern that maximizes the tire’s contact patch and produces a cleaner, smoother wear appearance. The SM7.5 is fitted with the same construction and compound as the SM7 and will operate at a similar performance level. The SM7.5 benefits from a wider profile that is conducive to extending tire life and heat cycling.
As per the January 2020 SCCA GCR:
- Hoosier P205/50ZR15 SM7.5 allowed after 1-1-2020 for the following event types: Regional Racing, US Majors Tour, Hoosier Super Tour, and Runoffs.
- Hoosier P205/50ZR15 SM7 allowed until 10-1-2020 for the following event types: Regional Racing, US Majors Tour, and Hoosier Super Tour.
- Hoosier P205/50ZR15 SM7.5 required after 10-1-2020 for the following event types: US Majors Tour, Hoosier Super Tour, and Runoffs.
- Hoosier P205/50ZR15 SM7 allowed until 1-1-2022 for SM Regional Racing.
